Belladonna
Intention: Death, transformation, the underworld, beauty, deep sight
Deadly nightshade is the classic plant of witch-lore, its name meaning 'beautiful lady'. In modern practice it is honored in art, story and symbolism only.
Safety: Poisonous. Do not eat, drink, smoke, burn or put it on skin, and keep it away from children and pets. Use a picture, drawing or a small symbolic token instead.
