Getting started
- Browse. The Library shows every public entry. Search, or filter by type and tag. You don't need an account to read.
- Create an account. Sign up with a username and password to write entries, join groups and save entries you love.
- Write your first entry. Tap New. Entries start out private, so only you can see them until you choose to share.
Kinds of entries
- Spell: a working with steps and ingredients
- Ritual: a ceremony, seasonal observance or practice
- Recipe: teas, sprays, incense blends, simmer pots and more
- Correspondence: what a herb, crystal or symbol is associated with
- Deity: gods and goddesses, their stories and how people honor them
- List: checklists, cheat sheets and quick references
- Reference: longer explanations and background
Each entry can also have an intention, a moon phase, an element, ingredients and tags.
Who can see what
Every entry has one of three visibility settings, which you can change at any time from the entry's edit page.

Ready to share a private entry? Open it and choose Publish to Public, or edit it and pick a different setting.
Writing entries
The body supports simple formatting (Markdown):

For safety, images, raw HTML and scripts aren't allowed. Other members can't edit or delete your entries. Only you, the owner of the group (for group entries) and site admins can.
Groups
A group is a private space to share entries with specific people.
- Create a group from the Groups page. You become its owner.
- Invite friends by sharing the invite code shown on the group page. They join by entering it on the Groups page.
- Share an entry by choosing Group visibility when you write or edit it.
- Members can read everything in the group, and can edit and delete only their own entries.
- The owner manages membership, can regenerate the invite code, can edit or delete entries shared in the group, and can hand ownership to another member.
- Leaving or being removed never deletes your work: your entries from that group simply become private to you.
Saving public entries
Found something you love? Tap Save to my collection on any public entry that isn't yours.
- Saving keeps your own permanent copy in your Saved list.
- If the author later edits the entry, your copy stays as it was and is marked updated by author. You can view the latest version or update your copy.
- If the author makes the entry private or deletes it, you still keep your copy.

Frequently asked questions
Can other people read my private entries?
No other members can. Site administrators can see all entries and groups so they can help manage the site when needed.
Someone posted something inappropriate or is bothering me. What can I do?
Open the entry and choose Report: the administrators review every report and remove content that breaks the rules. Choose Block to hide a person's entries from yourself; you can unblock them any time from Your account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Your account and choose Delete account. Your profile, entries, saved copies and group memberships are permanently removed. Groups you own pass to another member. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What happens if I delete a public entry that people saved?
The entry disappears from the Library, but everyone who saved it keeps their permanent copy.
I forgot my password. What can I do?
If your account has a confirmed email address, choose Forgot your password? on the log-in page and we'll email you a reset link. The link works once and expires after an hour.
No email on your account? Ask a site admin for a one-time reset link instead.
Once you're signed in you can change your password any time from Account (linked at the bottom of every page).
How do I add an email address to my account?
Open Account (linked at the bottom of every page), enter your address and your current password, and we'll email you a confirmation link. Once you confirm it, you can reset your own password if you forget it. We only use your email for account messages such as password resets, and it's never shown to other members.
If you don't see an email option, this site hasn't set up email yet.
How do I install the Grimoire on my phone?
iPhone: open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
Android: open it in Chrome, tap the menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen.
It then opens full-screen like an app, with tabs along the bottom.
Why can't I edit an entry in the Library?
You can only edit entries you wrote. Entries marked Grimoire Library are sample content maintained by the site's admins. You can read and save them, but not change them.
Someone in my group left. Are their entries gone?
No. Entries they shared in the group become private to them. Nothing is deleted.
How do I change who owns my group?
Open the group page and choose Make owner next to the member you want. You become a regular member, and you'll no longer see the invite code or owner controls.
Can I make a public entry private again?
Yes. Edit it and change the visibility. People who already saved it keep their copies.
Is the information here reliable?
Entries are written by people sharing their own practice, and traditions differ. Treat it as inspiration, not advice. Herbs and crystals can be harmful if misused, and nothing here is medical advice. Check safety before burning, handling or ingesting anything.
