Njord is a Vanir god of the sea, seafaring, and the wealth it brings, father of Freyr and Freyja. His marriage to the mountain-giantess Skaði famously failed because neither could bear to live in the other's home, sea coast versus mountains, and the two ultimately lived apart, a myth often read simply and honestly about incompatible needs.
