Mandrake
Intention: Protection, fertility, hidden power, the forked root
A root famous in medieval legend for its human shape and for its scream. Modern practitioners keep an image or a safe substitute such as a carved root.
Safety: Poisonous. Do not eat, drink, smoke, burn or put it on skin, and keep it away from children and pets. Use a picture, drawing or a small symbolic token instead.
